Kiwi and banana smoothie

I recently shared a juicing infographic with you, which contained some handy tips for juicing as well as lots of facts. I have been experimenting with a range of juices, smoothies and milkshakes recently, using Riverford organic fruit. Riverford stock a range of fruit specifically for juicing that can be delivered directly to your door.

The recipe for homemade banana milkshake I shared recently was also made using Riverford fruit.

One of the other things I have been making are smoothies. The one below is a kiwi and banana smoothie which, despite sounding like an odd combination was really good.

Kiwis have lots of benefits including: improving immune function; improving digestion; offering UV protection and softening skin. Bananas protect against muscle cramps; help to overcome depression; aid weight loss and strengthen the nervous system, among other things.

Once again, using the Breville Blend Active I just whizzed up a banana, a kiwi fruit and then added a dash of fresh apple juice. This was good for that PM low when the sleep deprivation starts to kick in.

What’s your favourite smoothie?

  1. I have a rice cooker and this is my 3rd one we use it almost everyday a lot more often than I use my slow cooker so I really have to disagree on that one. My rice cooker has a timer so it comes on early in the morning so our rice is done for breakfast or so it is ready when we get home from work. I also use it in combination with my slow cooker. Gumbo is my slow cooker rice in my rice cooker. In my hose it is a nessasity.best citrus juicer
