Big world play meets small world play

Back when my first child was born, like many parents I was careful to ensure that all her toys were age appropriate and she was not given anything too small.

With only one child this is an easy approach to follow, but as you have more children this becomes harder as there are all sorts of toys suitable for a range of children around the home.

Partly due to circumstances and partly curiosity and a desire to play together, inevitably younger siblings end up playing with toys suitable for much older children.

A good example of this in our house is LEGO. The two younger boys have seen our big boy playing with LEGO and like to join in. Because they try to copy what he does, it is rare for either of them to put something in their mouth, but of course that risk is there.

The LEGO Juniors range is quite good in bridging the gap and there are a number of other toys on the market that are now being aimed at younger children.

Our big boy is a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and of course the little boys like to join in. Now they are able to in much better way with the introduction of Half-Shell Heroes Squeeze Em’s, priced £24.99 from Flair.

Squeeze em turtles

These are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the younger generation, meaning big world play and small world play can meet in the middle. Check out the hilarious sounds and actions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Squeeze their shells for surprising shouts, plus eye and tongue popping action too. The harder you squeeze, the higher they shout and burp, always amusing to little ones! The turtles include multiple sounds and phrases.

TMNT

Fans of the turtles should check out TMNT Toys Collectors Club for all things TMNT, competitions and movie news.

These little guys really are pretty cute and mean little ones can join in with older children’s play more safely. Plus they think the eye-popping feature is so hilarious it will provide hours of entertainment.
