How to survive on a student budget

In September of 1998 I left home for University. It was such an exciting time and one that I really looked forward to. I remember spending most of the summer getting bits and bobs and going through things that I needed. List after list and box after box I gradually got things together and packed everything into my little car and my parents’ car.

Back then there were a few bargain stores around for supplies but nothing like what you can get today. How useful it would have been to have a store like b&m around to stoke up on student supplies on a limited budget.

If you have children heading off to University this September you might want to take a look at this useful infographic created by b&m, it’s also something you should show to your children before they go to prepare them.

  1. Wow, three percent get money by gambling. And lose more, I suspect! Possibly all to do with the TV gambling adverts you see all the time. These ads should be banned.
