Welcome to part three of our #12daysofparenting series when we join a whole host of other bloggers to write about a range of topics over 12 days.
Today we are looking at how Christmas has changed since becoming a parent and I am following on from Monkey and Mouse. For full Terms and Conditions of the #12daysofparenting please click here.
I have always been a huge fan of Christmas and the festive season. I don’t in all honesty remember when I discovered the truth about Santa but I must have been upset and rather disappointed.
After that I just kept pretending anyway.
Becoming a parent has just further increased my love of Christmas and the whole season really. I love anything that helps to increase or maintain the magic and I love how excited the children get.
I love the traditions we’ve embraced over the years such as the Christmas Eve Box, Portable North Pole, Elf on the Shelf, our Advent Chest, making a gingerbread house together and eating smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast on Christmas Day.
I’ve never been into lounging in bed in the mornings, so the early start doesn’t bother me and it is no different to any other day as a parent, other than being a bit more magical!
It’s a just a wonderful time of year!
Please pop over to Mummy and Her Mini to see how Christmas has changed in their house. Our code word is Quicks.
