#PicnicParty: Supporting the NSPCC with the help of In the Night Garden

A little while ago we told you about the partnership between the NSPCC and In the Night Garden.

20th August was the date set for the picnic party but don’t worry if you’ve not had yours yet, you can still hold one and raise vital funds for the NSPCC.

Don’t forget that:

  • £5 could answer a call to the NSPCC helpline from an adult who’s worried about a child.
  • £60 could pay for the Speak Out. Stay Safe. programme to reach 20 primary school children.
  • £200 could answer 50 calls to the Childline service from children who feel like they have nowhere else to turn.

Our picnic party was a bit of a wash out so it ended up being an indoory type of picnic party, after we’d set up the party bunting outside of course. It’s always the way isn’t it? It was one of those days that looked really great in the morning and got progressively worse all day.

You can still donate even if you aren’t planning on holding your own picnic party. You can head to our fundraising page if you want to make a contribution.

We did some In the Night Garden drawing, some puzzles and we watched an episode of in the night garden too. We were planning on making stone towers outside like Makka Pakka but we will save that for another day.

The NSPCC really do great work for children. It’s always hard deciding which charities to support as there are so many worthy ones out there but if you can’t donate you can still help by sharing this on social media.
