I’ve teamed up with Wicked Uncle to offer one lucky Mummy Fever reader the chance to win a Pindaloo, to help occupy the children over the long summer holidays.
If you are looking to let your children have fun in the water this summer, but want an alternative from a paddling pool, a sprinkler could be a good bet. I’ve put together a short list of the ones I think are worth it, see below.
We’ve had loads of different water guns and shooters over the years, with summer holidays fast approaching, I thought I would share with you some of our favourites.
Take a look at this fearsome T-Rex shaped head torch with two light settings. Shine a light straight ahead for outdoor adventures or have it tilted for a more calming light. With just two presses of the button you can even make the dino head magnificently roar! Complete with an adjustable head strap so all youngsters can feel like the King of the Dinosaurs – roarsome!
Do you ever get a bit stuck when buying gifts for children? Not just your own but other people’s children as well? It can be tricky can’t it, you don’t want the child to be disappointed, you want them to love their gift and you want to know you gave them something that brought them joy.
This fun kit from Ridleys is £10 and comes with two bubble wands, one to make gigantic bubbles and the other to make a flurry of smaller bubbles to add to the entertainment. Just dip one of your two bubble wands in the tray full of the included bubble fluid, drip off the excess and simply wave the wands for some bubble magic! Bring delight to outdoor play – with practice, how big will your bubbles go?
I love smaller outlets online, who sell gifts that can be personalised. One of the places I have discovered recently is BookBlock and their range of personalised puzzles.
As a parent it can be hard sometimes to find the balance between allowing your children to try a range of things and spending money on things they don’t stick at. Of course we all want them to try new things, and trying things is how they come to find hobbies that they really enjoy and want to stick at. However, there is equally nothing more frustrating than buying some expensive kit that never sees the light of day. Hands up if you’ve been there!
