I especially love gifts for children that have an educational value to them. BrightMinds, offer the most fun and educational toys for children of all ages, and they are pioneers when it comes to development. They believe that learning can be fun and know that sometimes all it takes is the right toy and a little imagination. I love this ethos.
One of the things I’ve enjoyed about my little boys getting older has been their strong interest in STEM toys and activity sets. As a parent, I just feel like we are getting so much more value from things like this. I love the concept of learning through play and I love that these kits give them the chance to explore ideas and problem solve.
This 84 piece jigsaw puzzle is a fun way to help your child develop their understanding of the human body, including the bones, organs and the different functions of your body. Fit the pieces together and study the images to discover how fascinating the human body is. Then attempt the mission cards with different body parts listed on them, identify the sternum, jaw bone and manubrium (we didn’t know it either!). Use the special UV torchlight to locate and reveal what cannot be seen with the naked eye. Very clever!
If you are a regular reader of the blog you will know what an advocate I am of good quality wooden toys. I love them. I have loved buying them for my own children and giving them as gifts to others. There is something so nice about quality wooden toys, when you compare them with all the mass produced plastic stuff out there these days.
Are you looking for some quality games to play with your children? The kind that will last for years and become family favourites? Then look no further than Jaques, who have the most stunning range of wooden toys.
Do your children love the idea of playing chess, but can’t quite get the rules? Maybe you aren’t great at explaining the rules yourself? Don’t worry, let Chess Teacher help you out. You can win a copy here.
Given that I know lots of my readers start their Christmas shopping in October, I have put together a list of a few ideas for this Christmas. I know that lots of people have high hopes for this Christmas, after not being able to spend time with loved ones last year. Whilst we are yet to know if COVID-19 will place any restrictions on celebrations this Christmas, it should be a significant improvement on last year.
I have one of these fun balls to give away to one lucky Mummy Fever reader. All you need to do is enter the easy widget below. Why not give it a go? It will be one less Christmas gift to buy if you do win!
