I always think that a wreath on the the door is a good sign that Christmas is on the way. We’ve had a few wreaths over the years, some better than others, but given how much the children love to craft, I thought that this year we would have a go at making one.
We used a polystyrene ring and three different and colours of Duck Tape to create a homemade wreath to hang on the wall.
We cut strips of the green tape, folded them over on themselves about 3/4 of the way, and then made cuts into the folded tape, before wrapping around the ring. We repeated this several times over, to cover the entire ring.
Once we had covered the entire ring with green Duck Tape, we used the red tape to cut out berries to attach to the wreath. This is quite time consuming as they are a bit awkward to cut, but we got there in the end.
We then cut strips of the gold Duck Tape, and stuck them to each other to make the tape two sided and tied it in a bow. We attached it to the top of the wreath with some extra gold tape and…hey presto!
Our Christmas wreath!
Have you done any Christmas craft this festive period?
