Halloween is almost here now and there is no better excuse for a movie night than Halloween. I have to say that I’m not a huge fan of scary movies, so the family ones are a bit more up my street.
It’s a great time to huddle up as a family for your very own fright night. So grab the popcorn, jump on those bean bags and make sure everyone has a blanket to hide under, before you hit that play button!
There are loads of great Halloween movies around, but if you are looking for some fun movies to watch as a family here are a few suggestions.
We love Scooby Doo in our house and the three boys in particular find it very funny, whilst I enjoy a good mystery, so it’s the perfect selection for fright night for us. There are loads of Scooby Doo films, both animation and film, and we enjoy them both equally.
Here are seven great spooky Halloween Scooby Doo movies to keep you all busy:
- Scooby-Doo 4 DVD Halloween Collection (Scooby-Doo – Franken Creepy, Scooby-Doo – Stage Fright, Scooby-Doo – Moon Monster Madness, Scooby-Doo – Music of the Vampire)
- The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo
- Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers
- Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster
What’s your favourite Halloween movie and what do your children enjoy watching?
Enjoy your Halloween whatever you end up watching.

My niece loves watching her movies and in particular anything that has animals or dinosaurs. She even named her cat Arlo!
my youngest loves halloween themed cartoons, they are fun scary and not too scary for him i think 🙂
I’m not into scary movies either, this is more down my lane too, good choices 🙂
