School is back, routine is back, and whilst that is craved by many, this also means that so many families are back into life being a rush. Clubs are back, appointments all over the place, schedules to be kept and so on and so forth. It’s easy to get into a rut with things.
How much you drink and what you drink can be one of those things. We all know we need to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and keep our bodies working properly. Many people love tea and coffee, but what else do you drink and how can you keep it interesting?
I’ve recently started drinking kombucha which I love. The one I have at the moment is lemon and elderflower and it’s just lovely. I would have said in the past I’m not a huge fan of fizzy drinks, aside from the odd coke to perk me up or prosecco of course, but the kombucha has a slight fizz to it and I’m really enjoying that at the moment.
Have you heard of Drinkmate? Drinkmate are on a mission to try to add a bit of sparkle to our drinks at home. The Drinkmate OmniFizz is the only home beverage carbonator that can carbonate any beverage without dilution. Others like Sodastream dilute the beverage and only carbonate water so users have to blend carbonation with flavour to create a beverage. Using its patented fizz infuser technology, Drinkmate carbonates any beverage with a press of a button.
This means you can easily sparkle a range of beverages from juices, tea, lemonade, and even cocktails. Now, whilst I’m not sure how I feel about carbonating my green tea, the thought of having a cranberry or pineapple juice with a bit of sparkle, or a yummy cocktail with some fizz does appeal. It’s also a pretty cool kitchen gadget to let the children experiment with.
Drinkmate is available in the UK on Amazon for £109.99, although I’ve noticed recently that some of the colours are quite a bit cheaper than this. They do come in a range of colours, so you can even co-ordinate it with your kitchen.
It’s perhaps one of those things that would be fun to buy for someone or either loves their fizz, or who is really hard to buy for! Imagine being able to turn your favourite wine into something sparkling!
You do need to purchase C02 cylinders for the Drinkmate, but each cylinder carbonates up to 60 litres of your favourite beverages, so it should keep you going for a while. Easily exchange your empties with Drinkmate’s UK CO2 Exchange, meaning you get a voucher towards additional purchases when you recycle the canisters through the scheme. This is my favourite part!

This looks fab! I’ve always loved the idea of a soda stream but it always put me off that I couldn’t carbonate what I wanted, so this looks perfect!
