When you become a parent you also become an expert in tackling all sorts of stains. It’s just one of the superpowers that you develop as a parent. Of course though, every good superhero has a sidekick. What’s yours?
Dealing with stains and being a parent go hand in hand. It’s just how it goes. What stains do you have to deal with most often as a parent?
For me it’s things like mud, spaghetti bolognese, grease and ink on clothes, and then probably sick and food stains around the house – parent life is so glam isn’t it?
If you can deal with a stain quickly you have a better chance of getting rid of it for good.
The most common stains parents in general have to deal with are:
- Coffee
- Mud
- Grease
- Ink
- Blood
- Perspiration
- Ketchup and other tomato-based substances
How do you manage stains like these? There’s a lot that can be fixed with a baby wipe or a cloth and a spot of washing up liquid, but sometimes you need something a bit more kick ass than that don’t you?
I’ve been using Dr. Beckman products for years now for those exact situations, these products really are little super heroes and work well on the toughest of stains.
If you aren’t sure what to use on a stain then they have an online Stain Clinic that can help. You simply enter the type of stain and the fabric and they will make a suggestion as to how to best remove it.
The handy little Stain Devils are my favourite products. Make sure you choose the best one for the stain you are trying to remove. I tend to go through the grease remover the fastest.
There are tons of laundry products that can help you out in a stain jam. They even have a product specifically for removing sweat stains, super handy if anyone in your house is a regular wearer of shirts.
Have you tried these products? Do you have any stain removal tips of your own to share?
