Spain is the perfect family holiday destination, especially for the summer months. Not too far from the UK, so much choice and diversity in terms of where to go and affordable for families.
A villa holiday is perfect with a family because it can be a home from home with the added bonus of a private pool and hopefully some fabulous weather. When you have young children especially there are some very practical reasons why being in a hotel for very long is not such a great experience.
There is a lot to be said for having access to a kitchen and all its facilities and your own space beyond the bedroom. You can replicate the systems you have at home and don’t have to struggle getting lots of people to sleep in one room at the same time – never all that successful.
There are so many options when it comes to choosing a villa. Different sizes, those close to town, close to the beach, inland, those with private pools and so on. Clickstay have a huge range of villas to choose from located in Spain. You really will find it hard to choose a favourite. There are villas to meet all sorts of sizes of parties so if you are a couple with just one child, a family of eight, or you want to take friends and grandparents, you will be sure to find something suitable.
I am totally in love with this amazing villa in Ibiza Town – this was the image that got me initially…gorgeous right?
This villa is a stunning modern and spacious four bedroom place with private pool, jacuzzi and gardens. It is in a fantastic location, only a short drive from Ibiza Town.
It is perfect for a family because it is completely independent and fenced in, making it very safe and meaning everyone can relax without worrying that if the children have a run about they will be on the road.
In the garden area there is a barbecue which would be great for outdoor living and a wide pool divided in two areas, a small children’s pool reconverted into Jacuzzi and an adult area, separated by a fountain.
There is even a diving board which would be great fun and also quite practical for our big girl to practice on. All the children are waterbabies, so I imagine we would find ourselves living around the pool – mind you, just look at it, why would you want to be anywhere else both day and night?
At the entrance of the lower level there is a big, modern kitchen with direct exit to the garden area. A big lounge room with chimney and a dining area. Two double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of them en-suite. The kitchen I have to say is the second area of this villa that I fell in love with. Although I can see us spending most of the time using the BBQ, I’d love to cook in this kitchen. It’s a proper family-friendly kitchen, with everything you need, which really takes the pressure off families on holiday. I’d have a problem dragging myself out of here.
On the top floor there are two double bedrooms both with bathroom en suite, one of them, the master bedroom with a dressing room and a huge bathroom with hydro- massage – bliss after the children have gone to bed.
In a place this size, the six of us would have space to take the grandparents or some friends along for the ride. It would be lovely to potter around, play in the pool, cook some yummy meals on the BBQ and relax together.
The beauty of this villa is also the location and there is plenty to do nearby. Obviously we would have to head to the beach but I think we might also have to fit in some horse riding, scuba diving and water skiing too. With table tennis available at the villa we could have a tournament during our stay.
I think most of all we’d really love this living outside feel that the villa affords, even if it did rain you can still sit undercover but have the fresh air. I love this style of living.
