*WIN* A birthing essentials kit

For most women, giving birth is hard work, exhausting, and messy. For some it is also terrifying, stressful, and painful. For me it was all of these things each time.

When women give birth they put their bodies under tremendous strain, so anything that can make the process more comfortable is always welcome.

I have a lovely giveaway for you from The Natural Birthing Company – who would like to win the Mama’s Moments – Birthing Essentials Kit? I used these products myself during pregnancy and labour and they are just lovely.

Pregnancy can be an emotional roller coaster whilst your body can succumb to nausea, headaches, restless legs, and swollen ankles. Whilst all these symptoms are completely normal and nothing to be concerned about Cool It Mama’s unique blend of Menthol, Neroli, Ylang Ylang, and Bergamot will help to ease symptoms, relax, and assist in calming anxiety and irritability.

Giving birth is an amazing experience but it can be tough on your body due to stretching and bruising. Bottoms up is the perfect product for after you give birth to help with any soreness. Perfect for even the most sensitive skin Down Below isn’t just for a perineal massage! 1. Meditation… in the way that you just breathe and count until it’s over! That’s how I managed. Plus, always bet the midwife on when baby will arrive – if you’re right, you get kudos!

  2. Start the Gas & Air just before a contraction is due, I couldn’t breathe it in properly as I was in too much pain – wish I’d had somebody to talk me through it x

  3. I have been told a good tip is a water bottle with a straw so it is easier to drink whatever position you are in!

    1. Sometimes the best plan is not to plan! Just go with the flow, don’t over think, do what feels natural to you!

  4. Don’t miss your prenatal classes.

During labour you’re probably going to be ‘distracted’ by a lot of things – but those lessons will always be in your head and could instinctively kick in and help a lot.

  5. trust your instincts and don’t bravely take on pain if you really can’t handle it, they will give you drugs!

  6. Be prepared and have your bag ready weeks before. The last thing you want is to be rushing about at the last minute.

  7. Try to stay in control of your breathing, listen to the midwife and I found that circular movements on a birthing ball really helped with pain
