I love that toys my mum, and then I played with as a kid are still around today! I remember the craze at school and everyone trying to out do each other with tricks they’d learned!

Yes! I was a child during the yoyo craze of the 90s so everyone had one and we were all a bit obsessed (especially about “walking the dog”). I remember being absolutely desperate for a particular yoyo which was the “one” to have, and being so excited when I eventually got it. I actually still have it!
I was hopeless to begin with but I practiced and practiced and it did eventually pay off. I was never amazing, but I managed to pull off most of the basic tricks (and I could “walk the dog”!)
I did. It was one of the few toys my parents could afford to buy for me. I spent many hours playing with it but practice never made perfect!
