As we get older our skin can change quite dramatically. The skin we had as a teenager is not nessesarily the skin we have as an adult.
Things like:
- Ageing
- The sun
- Pregnancy
- What we eat
- Our hydration levels
- Even where we live
…can all alter our skin.
My skin has become much dryer since having children. Never drinking as much water as I should doesn’t help this either. Note to self…must drink more.
Sk:n do a range of products which can help to manage changing skin. You may have seen their products in your local Boots. They also offer spa treatments at a number of clinics across the UK, if you have the time and pennies for that. If I was choosing a treatment I’d go for their microdermabrasion treatment which removes the dead cells on the surface of your skin.
I’ve been using the following products for for a few weeks now:
- SK:N FACIAL EXFOLIATING CLEANSER – NORMAL SKIN
- AGE-DELAYING CREAM – YOUNGER SKIN
- SK:N BLEMISH CONTROL LOTION
I chose the cleanser because it said it was an exfoliating wash and I love the way they make my skin feel – like I am scrubbing away the day and ready for the next one. This might secretly be doing that but it doesn’t feel as if it is, I can’t feel any grains on my skin and I’m not overly keen on that. That said, it is rich, creamy and luxurious and my skin is really soft when I have used it.
I can’t tell you if the age-delaying cream is delaying my ageing process but it is certainly a nice product which I would get again. Of the items I have tried, the blemish control lotion was by far the favourite, this really does the job. Although I don’t have a huge issue with blemishes these days, when I have had lots of very late nights I do find they crop up. Not with this. So basically I am telling you that you can work late as long as you use this cream…at least, it works for me at the moment!
What are your favourite skincare products at the moment?
Do you ever have your skin treated in any way? What would your treatment of choice be?

Sounds great! I don’t like exfoliating cleansers than have ‘bits’ in as they can feel quite harsh and take forever to rinse away so I like the sounds of this.
Oh – sounds like the perfect thing for you then 🙂
Looks perfect my skins so sensitive I have to be careful what I use xx
Yes – same here, great for that 🙂
I was looking at the mirror earlier and I was crying after. I saw a lot of whiteheads and blackheads and pimples. In my country I go to a derma to clean my face. Facials is a part of my life before being a mother. But I cant even remember the last time that I did this. I simply dont have the money to go in here and I dont know how to acquire such service. I need help, my skin needs a lot of help =( #picknmix
Ah yes … the list of things we did before children! Have you looked at any supplements perhaps?
There is a skin clinic near me and I have heard great things about them. My skin is a nightmare since having Ava a mixture of dry and spotty, urghh. Thanks for linking to #PickNMix
I know, the changes are frustrating aren’t they? Thanks for reading 🙂
