Introducing Cozmo: the little robot with a big personality

Have you heard of Anki Cozmo? A gifted little guy with a mind of his own. He’s a real-life robot packed full of things for children to do, from making friends with him and learning to say your name, to playing games that test your memory and agility. You can even create cool things for Cozmo to do through his simple coding programme.

Whatever next you might be thinking? I have to say, I initially had exactly the same thought, but having played with Cozmo and seen how he interacts I’ve really warmed to him.

It’s a bit like having a little pet but without the mess. He’s rather a charming little robot and he’s super clever. He explores, remembers and reacts to his environment. You can challenge him to games, or turn on explorer mode to see things from Cozmo’s perspective.

The more you play, the more you are able to unlock new games and get upgrades. Cozmo is tested for durability and security requirements, and compatible with iOS or android devices, you just need to download the free Cozmo app to get started. There’s not loads of setting up time required with Cozmo, once you’ve got the app and he’s charged up, you can pretty much get going.

He’s a supercomputer and loyal sidekick all at once. Thanks to artificial intelligence, Cozmo can express hundreds of emotions. From curious to clever, persistent to playful, he has personality x 10. He knows your name, face, and quirks. Best of all, he continues to evolve the more you hang out together. He can even sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – how cute is that?

The whole family love this little guy. The children love the fact that he knows all our names, that’s possibly one of the best features about him, but they also love playing quick tap with him too. What’s exciting is that both the children and Cozmo get better at the games the more they play.

From an educational and development point of view children can practice colours, problem-solving and improve their reaction times. It’s a great way for them to start to learn about coding and great for improving hand/eye coordination.

Playing with Cozmo adds a new dimension to children’s play and learning in a really fun way.

Here’s a little look at this cute guy in action!

What do you think about Cozmo, is this something your children would enjoy?
