Our school run is different every day.
After loading the four children into the car and checking for the third or forth time that we have everything we need, we set of on our magical mystery tour.
It is so entertaining for us all because we just never know what we will see on the way.
We have daily traffic jams, but they aren’t your regular sort of traffic jams, ours typically involve:
- sheep
- cows
- pheasants
- rabbits
- squirrels
- horses
- tractors
- and the odd group of ramblers
Today though, we had a first… meet Mr Ferret, our road blockage of the day! He really did not want to move and decided to rest in the middle of the road.
What is your school run like?

Sounds like a lovely school run! We’ve got a few years to go until we have to do the school run but I doubt it’ll be as exciting 🙂 #bigfatlinky
Different everyday …until it is time to battle for a space at school that is!
Sounds like a lovely school run. Thanks for linking up #bigfatlinky
Ah thanks – yes it’s lovely really 🙂
That sounds like a lovely school run- although yes I have never ever seen a ferret blocking a road before! 😉
I know – I saw him in the same place the day after, I bet he was having a good laugh at me 🙂
Nothing like yours! A more conventional car drive
Sometimes I wish we were close enough to walk but we’d miss this I think 🙂
Mine is nothing as exciting as yours just manic! Tends to be me checking everything is locked/turned off 10 times before checking once more just incase!
Lol – I am with you on the once more just in case, very like me!
Wow that is an exciting school run – I don’t think I’ve ever come across a ferret on the road before!
I know – i did a double take!
That is so cool, I don’t know if I’d be as laid back about the prospect of a different road blockage, I get stressed getting out the door in time and we walk! #ordinarymoments
Oh bless – sometimes I wish we could walk but we are too far away. It really is different every day.
I love that! We had the oddest school run once (in the middle of London) – we were just walking along and suddenly, outside the pub, was a GOOSE! It was so totally random. I have no idea where it came from but I was assured it had been returned. i was rather worried about it!
That is very random indeed! How funny – I wonder where it had come from? Jazzed up the day anyway lol x
A ferrett is quite an unusual sight on the school run! Sounds like you live in a lovely place. THanks for linking up to #thelist x
It is – this morning we had a baby deer! So lovely x
