Do you remember Spirograph? Did you ever have one as a child? I remember a friend buying me one for a birthday gift one year and I loved it.
The good news is these kits are still around and they are better than ever. These are a classic way to create amazing designs BUT these new kits have had a huge makeover and modern upgrade since the one I owned as a child.
One of the biggest problems I remember was that the discs would move and slip around but these kits come with special putty to hold the discs in place – a simple addition, but it works perfectly.
The deluxe set comes with three pens, spiral putty, paper and a huge selection of tools to create amazing designs with ease.
These kits would make a great gift for any budding designer and they are perfect to keep in the cupboard for a rainy day. They are easy and quick to set up and fun to use.
Do you have creative children? If so, you might be interested to know that there is a Spirograph Young Designer of the Year competition 2016 – for details visit www.coolcreateclub.co.uk to find out how you can enter.
These kits are aimed at 8-11 year olds but I think it really depends on the child. Many six and seven year olds would be able to use the set with ease and I can imagine that many eleven year olds might not be all that interested.
Happy spiraling and good luck!

Wow – I remember these. They were so much fun. They used keep my sisters and I entertained for hours.
Ha, I know these things. They are very funny. But for a child to develop creatively, something more is needed. Mb a whole set of different pieces for creativity is desirable. Something you can choose from here – https://wowpencils.com/best-art-sets-for-6-year-old/
