Are your drinks damaging your teeth?

What do you like to drink?

I’m talking about all drinks, not just those of the alcoholic variety, although they are also relevant.

Are you a tea person? Maybe you can’t function without coffee? Perhaps you wake up with a fresh orange juice?

What about evenings and weekends? Red wine? White wine? Beer or something else?

Have you ever thought about how what you drink could be damaging your teeth? It’s not just the hardcore tea and coffee drinkers that need to worry either, it’s the bulk of us!

I start the day with hot water and lemon…sounds OK right? NOPE, apparently not, just take a look at this!

Enamel erosion process is frequently unnoticed and happens to everyone at all ages, making teeth increasingly vulnerable. All food and drinks affect the natural pH level in the mouth which may cause acid attacks and enamel erosion.

One of the major misconceptions is that acid erosion occurs only due to unhealthy diets such as sugary drinks and junk food. In fact, modern diets including food and drink such as apples, orange juice and vinegar or red wine have worsened this phenomenon.

You can reverse the process by brushing with Regenerate Advanced Toothpaste daily and then using their boosting serum for three days once a month. It’s quick and easy to do and you can just build these things into your normal regime.

It’s worth tackling acid erosion before it causes real problems. Whilst you are looking at that, consider teeth whitening too. Lots of drinks can stain your teeth and a whitening regime can really help. Just search for example teeth whitening London or Manchester, or wherever you live. Then you can read the reviews of the services on offer.

  1. Interesting. I just drink water, so I guess I don’t have to worry much about it. But yeah, alot of acidic drinks and sugar would cause alot of damage to teeth.

  2. I don’t have sugar so I don’t worry about my teeth too much but I do drink coffee which does stain your teeth x
