When families think about summer mountain holidays, Austria, Switzerland or Northern Italy usually come up first. Slovakia rarely enters the conversation. That is surprising, because it offers dramatic alpine scenery, cable cars, hiking trails, wellness hotels and waterparks — often at significantly lower prices and with far fewer crowds.
