It’s been nice having some warm weather recently in the UK hasn’t it? It’s always really welcome, despite the fact that everyone then complains about it. How very British right? I’m not a fan of the humidity and the bugs that seem to come with that but the heat and the blue skies have been really very welcome. How have been finding the heat recently? Have you enjoyed it?

In my early teens my grandmother bought me a pair of silk pyjamas. They were my favourite pyjamas for so long and when I finally grew out of them she bought me the same ones in the next size up. What I remember most about these pyjamas was how ridiculously comfortable they were, and how easy it was to just slide under my duvet.
How many times have you bought footwear for your children and they’ve wrecked the shoes within a couple of weeks? even worse, smart school shoes which have been quickly trashed? I mean, kids shoes need to be robust. They climb, they run, they jump, they hardly ever sit still, and why should they? Their shoes should be able to take a battering.
When the brand Tutti Rouge got in touch to see if I’d like to work with them, my initial thought was that my boobs weren’t big enough for their bras. Having measured myself according to their guide though I was proved wrong.
With half term this week, we’ve spent a lot of time outside. Despite indoor venues now opening up post-lockdown, we’ve continued with our outdoor adventures, getting plenty of fresh air and appreciating all the wonderful places we have to visit.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot of things, including how we buy clothes and of course what we have been buying. With retail shops closed for a considerable time during the pandemic, many more people were turning to online shopping than ever before.
As I type this it is pouring with rain. Not just standard rain, the kind of rain with massive spots of water than gets you completely soaked. We had a similar downpour yesterday as I left to collect the children from school. It’s not been a great May weather wise so far, but apparently we are heading for a mid-June heatwave so it’s still reasonable to discuss summer wardrobes! Are you hoping for some warmer weather soon? This must have been the wettest May for a while.
