What strange times we are living in at the moment. If you’d said to me a year ago, even at Christmas, possibly even a few weeks ago that parents across the UK, across the world, would be homeschooling their children, in a bid to support social distancing and limit the spread of COVID-19 – well, I’d have thought you were crazy.
As schools set to close across the UK today for an undetermined length of time, Yoopies, the largest European childcare platform, is launching an appeal to all students and childcare providers to volunteer their childcare services to help support healthcare workers and essential industries.
We all know that a nice gift doesn’t have to cost the earth. It’s not about how much it costs, but more, will it be well-received, useful and is it needed. I always think useful gifts are the best personally, but I know that lots of people also enjoy receiving things they perhaps wouldn’t buy for themselves.
Setting aside some money for your child’s future is one thing, but if you want it to keep up with the rate of inflation, then you will, at the very least, need to put it in a high-interest bank account. If you want it to grow in a meaningful way, you’ll need to think about investing.
Not the sexiest of subjects I know. A few years ago I would have been rolling my eyes reading something like this and thinking…who has the time to separate laundry these days? Just chuck it in, stick in one of those colour catcher sheets, shut the door and get on with real life. Right?
The way we watch TV seems to have changed dramatically in the last 10 years. We aren’t huge TV people in our house. We like a good box set, some of the sport, the children like YouTube kids, movies and a couple of the kids channels etc.
A few months into 2020, we’ve already seen which kitchen trends are popular this year. Wood finishes, gold accents, and marble are only a few that London kitchen designers are playing with. Bold use of colour also seems to be on point for 2020, which leads us to ask – are colourful kitchens becoming trendy again in 2020?
I love taking photos. I especially love taking photos of my family. I think it’s so important to preserve all the memories. Not just the big things, but the every day moments as well. It’s a way of preserving memories.
