This week would have been half term if the children had been in school, so we decided to take a break from formal learning and do much more outside in the lovely sunshine.

When the weather is warm, the children love nothing more than a water fight. When it’s warm enough to get the water guns out, they don’t hesitate. We’ve had a range of water shooters over the years and always try to have a bit of a variety when it comes to the type of soakers we have, as some are more suited to younger children and some to older children.

As parents we should be constantly helping our children to become resilient. Building resilience in childhood helps children navigate the obstacles they encounter as they grow. We can’t take away all the pain and stress but we can teach children how to deal with this and use it to build resilence.
