I’ve been taking my children to a pumpkin patch for many years now. It’s a lovely little autumn tradition. We’ve tried a number of pumpkin patches over the years. Generally speaking there’s always been a maize maze, or some sort of spooky trail as well as the pumpkin patch.

Wellies, I LOVE wellies. I could quite happily potter about in a pair of wellies everyday during the colder and wetter months. There are some amazing wellies out there, and, like with anything, some cost an absolute fortune, BUT, it’s possible to find really good wellies for ALL budgets.

One the the stop off places on our Trans-Canadian adventure was the Amethyst Mine Panorama. We stopped here on our way to Thunder Bay. If you have children (especially those who enjoy digging and exploring and all things shiny), or love of amethyst yourself, this is an absolute must stop off place.
