It’s been nice having some warm weather recently in the UK hasn’t it? It’s always really welcome, despite the fact that everyone then complains about it. How very British right? I’m not a fan of the humidity and the bugs that seem to come with that but the heat and the blue skies have been really very welcome. How have been finding the heat recently? Have you enjoyed it?
Walking with kids – how do you find this? I know from talking to other parents that so many find this a huge struggle. When I think back on some of the days I’ve had as a parent myself and I think how hard it was some days just to get them to walk across the car park from swimming lessons, I know it’s not easy.
Some parents feel very strongly that their children have fallen behind during this period of time (COVID). Whilst I don’t particularly feel that my children have, I recognise that this has put extra pressure on the education system and made things especially difficult for children in transition and exam years.

Every organisation, whether small or big, has to organise meetings to achieve a particular goal. Sometimes the purpose of the meeting is to reiterate the culture and values of the company, and other times it is to discuss solutions to a particular problem.
It’s a little problematic that many folks see creativity in an ironically uncreative way. For many, creativity is limited to the artistic domain. This belief is held so firmly that a lot of people don’t consider maths, science, or philosophy to be creative domains at all.

I’m pretty sure children do not need to go to the zoo on Monday, go-karting on Tuesday, Alton Towers on Wednesday, a water park on Thursday, the cinema on Friday, the trampoline park on Saturday and bowling on Sunday – is it me? Or is this a little excessive? Lots of parents could only afford to do one of these things a month, so showcasing this as a ‘standard week’ in the holidays is a little unfair I think.
