Winnipeg was somewhere we spent a couple of nights during our Trans-Canadian road trip. Winnipeg is a mass of wonderful things to do with children. Much of the time we are told that we are lucky to have the ‘choice’ and that we can have it all, but for so many women (in particular) it rarely feels like a choice, and more like a series of tough trade offs.
One the the stop off places on our Trans-Canadian adventure was the Amethyst Mine Panorama. We stopped here on our way to Thunder Bay. If you have children (especially those who enjoy digging and exploring and all things shiny), or love of amethyst yourself, this is an absolute must stop off place.
As much as I love Autumn, I must admit that it is really lovely to still have some warm weather around, much like this time last year. My memories popped up from the first week of September last year and we were having a BBQ and had the paddling pool out still! I know lots of people that have packed away their summer outfits and already got the warm jumpers and Halloween decorations out!
